Billboard is looking for a dynamic Events Manager to work within the events team in producing all Billboard tentpole events including the Power 100 Grammy Event, Country Power Players, Latin Music Week, Billboard Live Music Summit, Women in Music, and others. The ideal candidate is incredibly detail-oriented, organized and pro-active, works well under pressure, is a good multitasker, has a polished and professional demeanor, is a team player, is comfortable working with high profile artists and executives and is able to travel 12-15 times/year. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinating event details both in the planning phase and onsite
  • Managing all operations systems including registration platforms, events websites, marketing emails, and more
  • Corresponding with vendors
  • Routing information and approvals between internal and external contacts
  • Managing RSVP lists and event reception/check-in
  • Coordinating vendor billing and contracts
  • Working with event sponsors
  • Will be an active participant in idea generation, brainstorms, and creative ideation on events

Your Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of the company at all levels, as well as external partners and clients
  • Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • In-depth understanding of Events technology
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and G Suite skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Drive.
  • Great social and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to keep information highly confidential
  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
